I Like Pickles

When you order a sandwich at Great Harvest, they give you a pickle with it. Last time I went, I didn't order a sandwich - I ordered a cup of soup. But the pickles were calling my name. So I asked if I could have a couple. The guy gave me a funny look, but then gave me 2 pickles. Jackpot! And this isn't just a pregnancy thing. I could eat a whole jar of pickles anytime. How do you feel about them? Love them, hate them, drink the juice like my crazy mother?
P.S. Sketch by Suzanne Buchanan. Her blog is supercool. Yes, that's one word, and it's pronounced with a French accent.

I love me some pickles...especially the ones infused with a garlicy flavor.

In 1st grade the "cool" snack to bring was one of those HUGE pickles (you buy at Costco or at the fair for $.25). We would take a huge bite off the top and then with our top teeth try to hollow out the inside trying to leave as much skin on as possible. Ah, those were the days.

I recommend the Kosher Classen spears:)

I love pickles. I am crazy like your Mom, I even drink the juice. I put the juice in all of my salads that have pickles in them.
They have to be dill though. no sweet.

Only if they are the really good crispy deli pickles, or Clausens!

Love pickles. Sweet or dill doesn't make a difference. Add a little cheese and I am in heaven. (and no it is not just a pregnancy thing!:) ) I am not "crazy" though with the pickle juice.

I love love love pickles! But just dill pickles. They are actually my favorite food. I ask for extra pickles on everything and if it doesn't come with it I ask for a side of pickles. Yes, I'm very used to those funny, "you want pickles with your pasta," looks. My favorite kind are Vlasic Kosher Dill. And Clausen are my second favorite. Mmmm they're so good!

Once upon a month ago, I was making a sandwich and the BF was like "why do you eat a pickle while you're making your sandwich, and then eat a pickle after your sandwich?" And to that I answered "because they're effing good!" I'm pretty sure that shut him up forever on the subject.

Also, if you want to talk about pickles, you should talk to Becky. She is a pickle nut.

Also, bread and butter pickles can bite me because I only love Dill.

I am a fan, but not a total lover of pickles. My friend Tiffany in high school would show up at 6AM to our drill team practices eating a big giant pickle. It used to gross us all out how she could eat something like a pickle that early, but she was a lover!!

Yes, I may be the biggest pickle nut ever. I eat about 2-3 jars a week. I snack on them while I cook dinner. Then I snack on them later. I drink the juice (if Seth doesn't beat me to it). I am convinced I will just be even more addicted to them once I am pregnant.

Once I had children, I had to learn to share my pickles which made me sad:( Now that my girls are teenagers and older, I get to eat my own pickles again! That makes me soooo happy.

Hugs,
Debbie

I am a huge fan of dill pickles. Can't stand the sweet ones. My sister, Alicia, use to drink the juice after her basketball games. She told me that Napoleon's men use to also drink pickle juice after battle to replenish and revive their systems. I don't know if this is true but I think it sounds plausible.

The movie theater. Don't laugh. They are huge and YUMMY!

I'd take a pickle with a movie over popcorn anyday!
