Honestly!

The best measure of a man's honesty isn't his income tax return.
It's the zero adjust on his bathroom scale.
Arthur C. Clarke

On Monday, I noticed a can of pop sitting on top of the Coke machine in the break room at work.

I walked over to investigate, and saw this.

What do you think? Would you have taken the time to write a note on a napkin to the "Coke Delivery Person," or would you have considered a free can of Diet Dr. Pepper karma's way of rewarding you for refraining from rear-ending that annoying cell-phone-talking-mini-van-driving-all-over-the-road-non-blinker-using-lady on the way to work?

Totally would have thought of it as my reward for spending money each and every day for a Diet Dr. Pepper!

Since I don't like Diet anything I probably would have left it too, but if it was a Coke I wouldn't think twice to drink both pops at the same time. If I saw a pop laying around at my work I would have taken it but maybe the note would discourage me. Only if we could all be so honest. But hey it's a pop what $0.50.

I am probably with bundy family...I despise diet anything...and diets...lol However that said, if extra candy comes out of the vending machine at the aquatic center I have taken it to the front desk...lol they probably just eat it.. But in junior high I would have totally just consumed it not even realizing that it might be a tiny bit dishonest...maybe candy meant more to me then. Those gummy frogs got me through Junior high(the armpit of life)

Ha...wow, Tom is honest. I only wish I could be this good. Hmmm...perhaps he is like me and simply doesn't like dr. pepper.

I remember when an extra kit kat came out once .... I was 13 and I ate it and I enjoyed every minute of it. If only we all were as honest at Tom!

So great to see honesty. Makes one evaluate their own life. Hmm. Where would I stand? Especially since that is one of my favorite drinks???????????

My vote is....FREE DRINK! But ONLY because it is my FAVE. If it was a Diet Coke? Totally would've given it back.

Man, that is one honest dude. Honest Tom. He needs a new office moniker I think. Honest Tom.

I would have left it there with no note but, I must confess, just because I hate Dr. Pepper and diet would be right out.

Now the real question is, does the coke machine man take the drink and put it back or does he drink it himself and think, "Cool! Free Diet Dr. Pepper!!" LOL
